IPM / In Place Machining Company was established in Long Beach, California in 1982 to provide vital services to the Naval Shipyards and Power Plants on the West Coast and in recent years has added the West Coast Refineries to their Client list.

In September of 2006, IPM was acquired by J.V. Industrial Companies, Ltd. to help them expand their Turnaround Services to include in-place machining services. This has given IPM a chance to expand their services and area of operation.
